The company set up a militia battalion to show its skill in emergency

      On the occasion of the 81st anniversary of the founding of the Army, the Militia battalion of Shunde Container Terminals Co., LTD., as an important defense reserve force in Shunde, also celebrated its fifth birthday. On the morning of August 3, they held a grand "Celebration of August 1" Army Day and the 5th anniversary of the establishment of the port militia battalion "in the container yard of our company. On the same day, leaders of shunde District Armed Forces Department and Ronggui Street Armed forces Department as well as commanders of basic militia battalion in the district attended the celebration and visited their battalion headquarters and weapons and equipment. The leaders of the district armament Department and the Street Armament Department highly praised the contribution of the Container Terminal Militia battalion to the local economic development, stability maintenance and especially emergency and disaster relief.

      According to reports, the militia battalion currently has 3 militia companies under it and sets up emergency, loading and unloading, emergency and disaster relief assault teams all year round. Most of the nearly 300 militiamen are demobilized cadres, veterans and production cadres. Over the past five years, we have seen the contingent of the container terminal militia battalion in the dongfeng Sluice gate in Ronggui, Dashan Island and Le Cong Jujuwan Dike during the catastrophic flood in 2005, as well as the flood fighting and emergency rescue in Rongqi New Road and the feigoose Mountain landslide site this year, and the Shunfeng Mountain fire in 2005. The militia battalion was once called the first in national militia battalion construction by the General Staff Working Group, and was rated as "model militia battalion" every year.
